About EduFlection

I use this blog page to tell my stories as a teacher and retell other teachers’ stories.

Having being involved in education for over 10 years, undertaking jobs including a Teaching Assistant before qualifying to very recently as a mentor to trainee teachers, I use this page to record and reflect on events that over time have become significant. It is my intention to reveal and emphasise the human side in the world of education that is increasingly dominated by targets and data.

It is my belief that we can never afford to lose sight of the human face behind each statistic.

My other preoccupation also includes teacher professionalism, teacher identity and teacher as researcher. Inextricable linked to my daily work and life, these aspects of my self continue to shape the way I teach and reflect on my job. This page gives me the space to record my thoughts. . . .
